Check out our Facebook page! Coming Up Spring Cleaning The church is in serious need of a little TLC. We have 100 year old historical documents being exposed to the elements and creating an eyesore in the FH conference room, while the walk-in safe in the sanctuary is filled with random stuff. We are asking that everyone who is able join us Saturday, April 6th at 10am to begin cleaning out the Safe and making room for the important documents that should be stored there. This first step will go a long way towards preserving the church’s history and creating a more organized environment in which to worship. MAY 4th & MAY 11th at 10a Ministry Opportunity  Dan Buttry is an ABC missionary that our church supports.  Some of his Christian musician friends are involved in a project called "Play It  Forward." His friends give free instruments and music lessons to foster children  in Detroit. The kids pick their instrument, and then Play It Forward sets up the lessons. They are starting with 20 kids this year, but hope to see the program  grow. They are looking for donations of instruments in decent shape: guitars,  bass, keyboards, horns, woodwinds, etc.). They are also looking for instructors  willing to donate part of their time (donated funds are covering half the lesson  fees, instructors donate the other half). CROP Hunger Walk 2013 The  31st Annual Southfield/Lathrup CROP Hunger Walk will take place on Sunday, April 28th.  This event will be hosted by FBC-D.  If you are interested in being involved, please attend the Recruiters meeting on March 12th at 6:30 pm.   CROP WALK T-SHIRTS AND CAPS Crop Walk T-shirts and caps are on display in the Narthex. Forms for ordering the shirts are also available in the Narthex, you can give your orders to Vickie Furman or Dianne Hubbard. They are Unisex, Royal Blue color. Children’s shirts are medium - large, $6.75 each Adults sizes small, medium, large, Xlarge $6.75 each Adult size XXlarge $8.00 each Caps, either stone or navy color $8.00 each *They are all cotton and manufactured in Pakistan in a sweat-free factory so purchasing these also help some people in Pakistan to have decent jobs.
