Get To Know Your Neighbor!
On Sunday,
March 11, FBC-D has been invited by St. David’s Episcopal (on 12 Mile between
Southfield and Greenfield) to join them for a “Get to Know Your Neighbor”
evening, 5-7 p.m. There will be a
meal and an opportunity for each congregation to share its history and
ministry. For this evening to be
successful we will need at least 15 people to attend.
This is a great occasion to meet other Christians at a relaxing evening
event. Please see the sign up
sheet in the Narthex.

OFFICE VOLUNTEER
Our office is in need of a volunteer for 1 to 2 weekly hours. This would be work that Fran Matthews handled in the past. It does not involve using a computer. Contact the church office if you would like to volunteer.

Care and Comfort Committee
Calling all members and friends who wish to be a part of
the Care & Comfort ministry at First Baptist. What is that you ask? Well,
the Care & Comfort ministry will provide support to family members during the funeral service of their loved one. We ask that you be available with the tissue box when asked and a gentle hug when needed. The Care & Comfort ministry will also be ushers during the funeral service. This ministry is ideal for anyone with flexible hours since we never know the date and time of funerals for our church members. Please contact the church office at 248-569-2972 if you are interested or for more information. Thank you.

2012 Offering Envelopes
The 2012 offering envelopes have finally arrived. I
have assigned a box of offering envelopes to all the families that requested
them. PLEASE CHECK FOR YOUR BOX OF ENVELOPES IN THE NARTHEX LOBBY. If your family has not been assigned a box
and you would like envelopes, please call the church office at (248-553-8670)

Interested in Joining a Church Committee?!
Calling all members and friends of First Baptist - please consider joining one of the committees that makes our church such a special place. We want to involve everyone in the direction First Baptist is headed - from the songs we sing during worship service to how hot or cold we keep our buildings. For more information about the committees, please contact the committee chair or the
church office. Thank you.
