Detroit Institute of Arts
The Fellowship & Membership Committee is sponsoring a trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts on Sunday August 8, 2010 after Worship Service to see Through African Eyes: The European in African Art. This exhibition explores the artistic consequences of the variations and dynamics of cultural exchanges between Africans and Europeans over 500 years. We will car pool from the church, have lunch in the DIA cafe and then tour the exhibit. Cost: $12 per adult, $6 ages 6-17. Camp Scholarships Available!
If you are interested in attending summer camp at Camp Lael or Camp Lake Louise, please contact the church office because scholarships from Woodward Endowment are still available that would cover 50% of the cost. Scholarships are assigned on a “first come, first serve” basis and any application must be approved prior to the camp date for which the request is made.
